"Leaving West River" 18" x 24" oil on gallery-wrapped canvas
May 11 in the Black Hills of South Dakota means a dark, rainy, and COLD (37 degrees) day. That wasn't in the plan. We were going to hit some local nurseries for herb plants and soils. No point in that today!
Unfortunately, this kind of weather makes me a bit lazy. After 15 cups of coffee (not really), I decided to do a larger version of "Leaving West River" AND to start watching "Breaking Bad." I must be the only person in the country who has never watched a single episode.
A couple of weeks ago
I did this
. Today's version is in oil on an 18" x 24" canvas. Looks a bit different, but it was a fun one to do. Just below are a couple shots of the painting in different stages of completion. Oh...and I got 3 episodes of the show under my belt...no opinion one way or the other yet!
