Painting for Alzheimers

Quick note while waiting for our bed & breakfast guests finish their breakfast (baked apple pancake, scrambled eggs, and sausage). Once we get cleaned up here, I'm off (with Debbie of course) to Rockford for an Alzheimer's benefit, "Unforgetable Art." Fifty artists gather around noon and start painting all day. Around 6:30 or so, the public comes in to see all the work being created ($50 a person) and start making silent bids. Around 8:00 or so, the Silent Auction goes live. Lots of good food, wine, etc are also part of the evening.

Debbie and I did this last year. It was a lot of fun and we met some new artists that are out of our general area. We stayed at my inlaws last year. Haven't decided if I will do that this year. We still have guests overnight and my youngest daughter wants us to come into Chicago on Sunday to look at a new apartment.

Never a dull moment. When Jeff and I will ever get our gardening done is beyond me!

I will be taking pictures of the painting event and will post those later!
